Author Visits with Ali Josselet
Hi, I’m Ali Josselet—children’s book author, nutritionist, and the storyteller behind Maddy & Apollo’s Magical Garden Adventures. I believe that when stories spark wonder, they can also plant seeds of wellness, kindness, and curiosity that last a lifetime.
That’s why I love bringing my book to life through school and library visits. Together, we step into Maddy and Apollo’s magical garden, where crunchy veggies, fruity surprises, and a playful pup inspire kids to see healthy eating in a whole new way.
During my visit, I read Maddy & Apollo’s Magical Garden Adventures aloud, inviting students to join in the adventure. After the story, we dive into an interactive activity that’s both fun and educational.
Each visit is tailored to the age group and designed to encourage creativity, critical thinking, social-emotional learning, and wellness—all while keeping things playful and engaging.
About the Author
Ali Josselet is a children's book author, nutritionist, and award-winning philanthropist originally from Australia, now living in Hawaii with her husband—an Air Force fighter pilot—and their golden retriever, Apollo (the real-life inspiration behind the beloved pup in her stories).
After more than a decade in the legal field, Ali followed her passion into the world of health and wellness, co-founding an annual campaign that has raised over $11.5 million for women and children globally—an effort that earned her team a United Nations Award. She later founded The Josselet Foundation and the Read & Bloom Program, both dedicated to empowering families with tools to live healthier, happier lives.
Ali’s debut children’s book, Maddy & Apollo’s Magical Garden Adventures, was born from her belief that wellness should feel magical, not forced. Inspired by her niece, Maddy, and golden retriever, Apollo, the story gently weaves together kindness, curiosity, and healthy habits—making fruits, veggies, and everyday wellness joyful for young readers.
When she’s not writing or creating, Ali can be found freediving with sharks (yes, really!), hiking, or exploring one of the 36+ countries she’s visited. Her mission is simple: to make wellness feel whimsical and accessible—for the little ones who dream, and the women who do it all.
All proceeds from her first book go directly to supporting children fighting cancer.
